What wildlife might I see while cycling in Tasmania?

One of the joys of cycling in Tasmania is the opportunity to experience its unique wildlife in its natural environment.

Depending on the region and time of day, you may encounter wallabies, wombats, echidnas, black cockatoos, wedge-tailed eagles and a wide variety of native birdlife. Along the coast, it's not uncommon to spot dolphins or seals, while Tasmania's forests are home to many species found nowhere else in Australia.

Riding quietly through these landscapes often provides wildlife encounters that simply aren't possible when travelling by car.
