WHAT IS THE TOUGHEST CLIMB OF THE TRIP?

Day 4 - The Vršič Pass, Slovenia's highest mountain pass at 1,611 meters, is a must-ride for road cyclists seeking both a physical challenge and stunning alpine scenery.

Connecting the picturesque Kranjska Gora in the north with Trenta Valley in the south, the pass has 50 switchback turns, each marked with numbers that count down (or up) to the summit, making it an iconic climb in Slovenian road cycling.

Length: 9.04km / Average gradient: 8% / Elevation difference: 745m

This makes Vršič a challenging alpine climb — sustained enough to test your legs but absolutely worth it for the scenery.
