ITINERARY

DAY 1: CRUISY HOBART RIDE

DISTANCE: 35km
ELEVATION: 720m

1:00pm roll out.
Cruisy ride in the afternoon to get the legs moving and ensure your bike set up is good to go.

Dinner – Welcome dinner shouted by Après Vélo

DAY 2: THE CYGNET CHALLENGE

DISTANCE: 125km
ELEVATION: 2000+m

Embark on a challenging day in the saddle as we journey south to the charming town of Cygnet. Along the way, enjoy the stunning gravel coastal road—a beloved route among the locals.

After a relaxing lunch in Cygnet, we’ll make our way back to Hobart, taking the road less travelled and conquering a few hills for an unforgettable ride.

DAY 3: HISTORIC PIPELINE TRACK

DISTANCE: 88km (16km gravel)
ELEVATION: 1800m

Ride over the foothills of Mt Wellington, with 16km gravel. We will cycle through the historic pipeline track meandering beneath the canopy of ancient trees and ferns, before a picnic coffee stop with fresh baked goods, near Kingston Beach.

Afternoon - great opportunity to catch the ferry and visit the Mona Gallery.

Dinner – Shouted by Après Vélo.

DAY 4: MT WELLINGTON LOOP

DISTANCE: 50km
ELEVATION: 1313m

Mt Wellington Loop which includes 17.68km of climbing at an average gradient of 7%.

Afternoon – free to do as you please.

DAY 5: THE VINEYARD RIDE

DISTANCE: 80km (14km gravel)
ELEVATION: 1800m

We head out North of Hobart with panoramic views across the Derwent valley and the western wilderness.

Caffeine-stop in the quaint town of New Norfolk. The last 8km of this ride pays homage to Strada Bianchi with sweeping gravel roads through Tuscan like meadows and wine farms which hug the Derwent River. Truly memorable!

Our ride will finish at one of Hobarts finest vineyards for wine tasting, with a wander through the vineyard with the owner who will chat to us about viticulture and the wine business.

DAY 6: ADIOS TO TASMANIA

Unfortunately, your riding adventure through Tasmania's finest has come to an end.
Hotel check out and transfer to Hobart Airport at a pre-designated time, UNLESS you choose to spend the weekend in Hobart...what a great opportunity.

The Après Vélo itinerary may be subject to slight route changes, and other modifications subject to circumstances.
